"Play more songs, please..."

Ok, I´ve been busy all weekend by the countryside, so I haven´t written a word in a while...

But today i managed to catch a look at another female folksinger of sorts - Mary Lou Lord. She was playing at the tailend of some studenty thing in Växjö. As I´ve only heard the subway record before, I didn´t know what to expect, but Indy saw her in Hultsfred and recommended it, so I went. And it was really good for the slow sunday vibe... She sang her own songs mostly, seemed very nervous and did some covers of Clash, Big Star and Springsteen. She sang about days of doing drugs, beheaded athletes and "the shit year of 1991".

Anyways, at the end of the concert she made a speech for using your own voice and music instead of downloading everything to the PC or iPod. And I kind of went with it, especially as its more producing than consuming. Yeah, you get the idea...

Last but not the least, I saw a great movie again - "American Splendor" ! But more about that later...

Cheers!

Of course there´s a pattern to this login business, but you don´t have to fill in all the empty boxes, right?! Just the ones that´s required...

Oh shit, I heard the Lee Perry track yesterday actually. It was one of the LP´s in the first vinyl Perry box sets. Not Heart of the Congos but still good. I´m amazed that Indy hasn´t bought that one yet. That nice reggaestore shore had a cheap price...
