The milk-eyed mender
The definitive musical highlight these last few days has been Joanna Newsoms debute CD "The milk-eyed mender". Harp, Rhodes, Pianos, some slide guitar and love-it-or-hate-it vocals. Well, I guess I love it. Totally modern folk music, folks.
This record is further evidence that the future of popular music thrives on strong individual women artists and that folk music will continue to influence the contemporary musical landscape from the experimental to the popular. Even in this new millenium - who knew that in the early nineties?!

Ok, I´ll tell that to the girl when she comes here - to the other side of the blue... Hey, catch the pun. But, serious, give her a few days and the songs will grow. Though it´s not Siebensunden of course...
